Ah what a gorgeous shoot this was! We planned this session around this sweet girl’s first birthday which was such a lovely time to document for them. She was an absolute angel – I work with lots of children in this job and for a 1 year old, she was absolutely so chill, so sweet – I adored her! 

Preparing for their shoot – mama had chosen this gorgeous blush pink dress which I think was from New Look. I don’t usually send clients there for styling however I have noticed recently that they have been stocking some really pretty dresses that would work so well for shoots so if you do have an upcoming shoot with me – definitely give them a try! I usually recommend something with a little more swish, however this dress had such beautiful details with the sleeves & the ribbed texture so I knew it would photograph well. It was also such a soft pink so it was really easy to style, super timeless and totally suited mama’s hair and skin tone. For baby girl, a gorgeous ivory dress with frills from H&M paired beautifully and I suggested an olive green shirt for dad to compliment. The whole look came together perfectly! 

On the day we had such gorgeous weather – we actually lost the sun a little earlier than normal as the clouds thickened and started to cover it but we were left with the most beautiful pink and blue sky and really soft flattering light. The landscape actually ended up complimenting their outfits so well and we got some really dreamy photos for their gallery…
