It’s been a busy summer with an even busier autumn ahead but I realised that I hadn’t blogged a session in a while so I wanted to share with you some images from this gorgeous motherhood shoot.
We planned for this shoot at the lake – it’s such a beautiful spot in high summer and I’ve worked with this mama before when her second little girl was born. It’s always lovely working with families again and seeing how much their babies have grown. They are the sweetest family to work with too so I loved seeing them!
Styling-wise, mama opted for one of the dresses from my client wardrobe. I brought a few to the session for her to try on and I just fell in love with this one on her. It’s such a pretty colour – a sort of creamy tone which looks slightly blush in the sunset light – I love it! This dress works for a wide range of sizes too (including maternity) so it’s so good to have as an option for my clients.
Baby girl wore a beautiful creamy beige romper with lace detailing and her older sister wore an off-white romper too. I do find rompers to be excellent for family shoots. Parents are often picking up their children and it allows for lots of playing and cuddling without exposing underwear or nappies. Dad jumped in for a few photos and wore cream chino shorts and a light blue short-sleeved shirt which worked perfectly!
We were blessed with gorgeous weather – I think it was around 30 degrees so super hot and we ended up in the lake at the end of the shoot – the sunset was stunning!
Here’s a few images from their shoot – aren’t they gorgeous?
